First thing you need to know is that I am a product of God's grace. If anything is good in my life, which it is, it is because I've been in the palm of a loving father for 33 years. Left to my own decisions and judgment I would've been screwed up a lot worse a long time ago.
Back story: I grew up in East Texas riding horses, going to church, babysitting, playing volleyball and loving life. That volleyball bounced to Louisiana Tech and during my last semester I met Nick. Keep on bouncing and now we are married with three beautiful girls living in the quaint college town where we met and fell in love. (awww!)
I fell in love with Nick in college, but I came to love the Lord at Brookhill summer camp in junior high. That was the first time I was able to recognize people living out a relationship with Christ and I knew then it was something I wanted. That was also the time I gained confidence and burst from my shell. Even though I fail regularly, I still strive to serve Jesus in all I do.
All through college I had no clue about "what I want to be when I grow up." The one certainty was that I didn't want my job to consume my life. Work to live rather than live to work. Once I opened my heart up to God's plan I felt called to teach. I love serving Him through my career. I am an American missionary.
